Even though Michigan football fans are gloating over the Wolverines’ three consecutive wins over Ohio State, no one believes U-M doing it again is going to be easy.

Ohio State has some questions to answer, but the Buckeyes have a loaded roster. They have spent millions keeping players out of the NFL draft or landing them in the transfer portal.

Joel Klatt ranked Ohio State as his No. 1 team. Most have the Buckeyes in the top two and Vegas oddsmakers believe this could be the year that the Buckeyes get back on top in ‘The Game.’

Draft Kings didn’t release odds for every Michigan football game this season, but they did for most.

Odds for Michigan football vs. Ohio State, plus more

Michigan football is a 10-point underdog right now to Ohio State. Vegas also has Texas and Oregon favored by three and 2.5 points for their games in Ann Arbor.

Michigan is a 22-point favorite over Fresno State, which is the opponent for the home opener, a game that will be played on NBC in a night game. The Wolverines are an 11-point favorite against USC, which is another team likely to be ranked going into the 2024 season.

Another challenging game will be at Washington. But Michigan football is listed as a nine-point favorite for the national championship rematch happening in Seattle.

The Spartans are a 24.5-point underdog for their Oct. 26th matchup against Michigan football, which will be played in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines will be looking for their third straight win over MSU. This will be the first matchup between Jonathan Smith and Sherrone Moore, the two new head coaches.

Michigan football’s win over/under for the 2024 season is 9.5 according to the Action Network. So that makes sense. The good news is that the Wolverines don’t have to win every game. 12 teams make the playoff and if Michigan wins just one of its four biggest games: Texas, USC, Oregon, and Ohio State — I have a hunch the national champions will make the 12-team playoff field.
